Rep. Stefanik: Prosecute Those Making Phony School Attack Threats

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) reacted to fake active shooter and bomb threats in her state by requiring investigations and prosecutions of those behind the hazards.

“Bomb threats were made throughout schools, all around the state of New york city,” NBC 5 reported on April 5. Numerous risks were made on Wednesday.

Moriah Central School was one of the targets of the phony threats. An NBC 5 reporter said on Wednesday, “New York State cops swept the structure numerous times … however did not find a bomb.”

Students had to be brought outside the school in order for the school to be swept. For that reason, it represented a complete interruption of their day.

Rep. Stefanik attended to the fake dangers, saying:

These soulless wrongdoers are using prohibited worry strategies to create chaos in schools throughout my district in Upstate New York and the North Nation. They must be prosecuted to the fullest degree of the law for committing these shameful, illegal acts. I am glad for our regional and state law enforcement who are working to examine these threats, so wrongdoers will be taken to court. I stand with our students, parents, instructors, and school authorities who are working tirelessly to care for the security of these kids.

Fake hazards have been happening around the nation, most recently in Michigan and prior to that in Georgia.

On December 1, 2022, Breitbart News noted that Gov. Brian Kemp (R) reacted to active shooter threat scams in Georgia by pointing out that he provided funds that enabled schools to add heros with guns or aspects of security to school systems around the state.

That is why we supplied $ 30,000 for school security to every public school in the state my very first year in office and why we have followed up with more school security grants ever since. By the end of this year, we will also have trained over 400 school resource officers and provided them with further supports.

Kemp pointed out that the FBI is pursuing those who made the hoax calls, describing the calls as “acts of domestic terrorism.”
