Yesterday night, the Russian Government claims, two drones attacked the Kremlin with the objective of assassinating President Vladimir Putin. The Russians assert these drones were sent by the Ukrainian federal government.
The drones were supposedly picked up by the Kremlin’s air defenses and blown to pieces prior to they might do any harm. The Russian federal government supplied the below video:
The reaction to this news so far is a mix of ridiculous, dumb, irritating
and shocking. Firstly, there’s the alleged strategy itself …
it was exceptionally ridiculous.
Making no discuss who and/or what was responsible, if the attack was an authentic attempt on Vladimir Putin’s life, it was entirely ridiculous.
Flying two little drones into a few of the most protected airspace worldwide is only going to end with them getting vaporised.
Even if that doesn’t take place, and by some miracle your drones in some way evade detection by air defense turrets and radar and in some way make it into Kremlin airspace, what then?
The Kremlin is not just one building, it is a complex of over a dozen structures— including 3 Cathedrals and 4 palaces– covering an area of almost 70 acres.
Expecting your drones make it to the Kremlin, they have no way of understanding which room of which structure Putin is in …if he is there at all. After all, while the Kremlin may be the “official home” of the Russian President, it prevails understanding he doesn’t in fact live there (and in truth was not there according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov).
So yes, the plan, if it was genuine, was ridiculous.
Secondly, there are the Ukrainians claiming they would never ever try to assassinate Putin …
For near to a years basically everybody in Western Ukraine has actually been calling Putin literally Hitler, and for the last year have been accusing him of genocide … and now all of a sudden they claim they would never ever try and assassinate the man?
Why not? Since Zelensky et al are simply too morally squeamish to go that route? They happily kill innocent civilians however draw the line at seeking the death of a male they call a mass murderer?
So yes, the Ukrainians taking umbrage at the accusation is silly.
Third, there is the Western press immediately and everywhere calling the attack a “possible false flag”…
which is bothersome.
It’s irritating because these are individuals who just ever use the phrase “false flag” when something takes place in Russia.
Incorrect flags are a centuries-old political manoeuvre, utilized regularly by leaders from all over the world, and yet the media just ever utilize the phrase when something gets exploded in Moscow.
So yes, the Western press’s attitude that– basically– every battle or shooting here is genuine, and every bombing or shooting over there is fake is really extremely irritating.
Finally, there are the alternate media outlets, instantly and ubiquitously thinking the attack was real …
which is simply exasperating.
The Russian federal government is not naturally ethically exceptional to the United States or other Western federal governments– even if that might be argued pre-Covid, those days are long over. But supposing you believe they are, false flag attacks are not the unique residential or commercial property of history’s bad people.
Good guys can incorrect flag too.
The alternative media’s job is to be the journalism they wish to see on the planet. To fill the void of factual reporting and objective analysis left by the business media– NOT the automatic gainsaying of whatever in the Western press, or the word-for-word parroting of Russian federal government press releases. Seeing people lose themselves to side-taking is infuriating.
In summary, if it was a real plan it was silly. If it’s a fake attack it’s lame.
We don’t know who did what, and probably never ever will, however both sides are similarly efficient in doing something foolish and then lying about it for political gain.
I think we’ll see where it all goes.
