Recently Breitbart.com doxxed a guy merely because he supports DeSantis. Pedro Gonzalez, politics editor at Chronicles and a previous Trump supporter who changed his loyalty, saw his private messages splashed all over the web in a hit piece authored by “Trump-über-alles” Breitbart editor Matt Boyle.
I’ll repeat that for readers who still believe the Trump camp maintains even the smallest shred of human decency: A conservative guy stated “I like DeSantis,” so Breitbart.com outed his private messages as revenge.
Remember when a previous schoolmate of Parkland student Kyle Kashuv dripped personal messages in which he said the “N-word”? And remember how, as an outcome of that politically motivated hit, Kashuv’s Harvard admission was revoked!
.?. !? Well, if that angered you but the Breitbart thing doesn’t, you’re too far gone.
I would never call Matt Boyle a piece of shit. That would be an unforgivable insult to pieces of shit. Rather, he’s the worm that makes you take your canine to the vet when you see it in a piece of shit. He’s the thing that makes pieces of shit even worse than they already are.

Comprehend that there’s no depth to which the Trump camp will not sink. Yes, they will dox you for your political viewpoints. Next time you get a pitch from Breitbart for some idiotic paywalled “change the culture” film, know that your private info is not safe. If you’re caught being pro-DeSantis, your individual info may be dripped. Boyle straight-out informed “Seb” Gorka last week that all personal communications are level playing field. That includes yours.
Naturally, the Trumpers reading this today are shouting, “However his emails! Address Gonzalez’s e-mails!”
Yes, Gonzalez’s personal messages are unsightly. That doesn’t matter to me. They were private. We must all have the right to act imperfectly in our personal lives. Imperfectly and stupidly. If you were to tell me that you’ve never when stated something in personal that you are sorry for, I ‘d call you a phony. And I ‘d be right.
A guy like Matt Assboyle, who declares to be against “Orwellian dystopias,” is the strongest ally of said dystopias. He exposes the personal discussions of citizens to penalize them for displeasing him politically.

However back to Gonzalez. The easy fact is, he got captured up in the Trump-cult “Groyper” thing, the Nick Fuentes idiocy of “helicopter flights” and “ironybro” Jew-baiting.
Gonzalez was grasped by the Groyper stupidity at the precise time it was being egged on by Breitbart.com. By Steve Bannon and Milo Yiannopoulos. Oh, you forgot that Milo “Kanye and Fuentes sieg heil” Yiannopoulos was a Breitbart editor? Breitbart was pushing the Groyper bullshit when Gonzalez ended up being enchanted by it.
I warned about this at the time. In column after column, I cautioned how the Groyper “naughty boy” things was ending up being a “secret handshake” among young Trumpists to show their based-ness. And I counseled that it would come to no excellent. Okay, what’s done is done. And we have to look at the right’s present reality, which is that a bunch of smart, good young people like Gonzalez got captured up in a mania motivated by those who need to’ve understood better.
How do we handle that?
Well, option No. 1 is that we torture them for the rest of their lives.
“Hooray! We’re sadists!!! We motivated you to embrace the insanity and now we’ll utilize it to obtain your eternal obligation to Trump!”
What heroes you are, Trump extortionists. Genuine inheritors of the Establishing Dads’ mantle. Where’s your tricorn? Go get your tricorn and stick it up your craw.
Choice No. 2 is to not be sadists and not torment young people who independently sent out memes throughout the Groyper period. Choice 2 includes salvaging lives, not damaging them.
So obviously a sleazebag freak like Matt Boyle (who makes Brian Peppers look handsome) will forever turn down that course of action.
Just a couple of weeks back, Jay Johnston– a talented comic– was arrested for his participation in January 6th (a.k.a. the Titan submersible that Trump utilized to send 2,000 of his most loyal followers to a watery grave). Just like Gonzalez, Johnston– a kind, decent male I tangentially knew (he was promoting a kittycat I almost adopted some years ago)– got caught up in the mania of a madman.
And I’ll wager your reaction to the Jay Johnston story is, “Well horn-dangit why are they still comin’ after a person who did a criminal trespass two and a half years ago? Can’t they simply let it go?”
So how do you feel about Breitbart.com destroying Gonzalez’s life for memes he sent 4 years earlier?
The right needs to handle the wasting of resources that took place throughout the Trump years. In my own unique position as somebody whose name is often mistakenly invoked to promote Holocaust rejection, I recognize my duty that things I said when I was 21 were said inartfully enough to enable misinterpretation. So acknowledging that duty, if I see someone going down the rejection course, I do not try to cancel them, I connect to them. Often effectively (I was able to talk Chuck Johnson below the denier ledge), often unsuccessfully (when I connected to Fuentes, he responded by blocking me on social networks), and sometimes to confusing effect (when I connected to Ron Unz, he stated, “I am not an animal, I’m a human being,” and I was like, “Okay, dude, however please keep that sack over your head since I just ate”).
I try to handle these situations humanely. You know the number of PMs I get from folks stating, “You taught me that the Holocaust was the HoloHOAX”? And rather of responding, “Ha!
