A current Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) released by the DHS in 2022 details ICE Homeland Security and Investigations’ use of a number of categories of security technologies. The PIA outlines ICE’s narrow conception of a “sensible expectation of personal privacy” that permits the firm to perform broad security without judicial oversight.
