The letter came just before Carlson revealed on Twitter that he would be bringing his program to the social media platform, signaling that his legal team thinks it can argue that Fox News violated its agreement with Carlson initially, freeing him from it.

The letter reportedly alleges that Fox News made guarantees to Carlson that were purposefully broken, making up scams, and that the network also broke a contract not to leakage his private interactions to the media.

The letter also reportedly declares the network broke assures not to settle with Dominion Ballot Systems “in a way which would show wrongdoing” on the part of Carlson and not to take any actions in a settlement that would hurt his track record.

Two sources told Axios that Carlson was told by a member of the Fox News board that he was taken off the air as part of a Dominion settlement.

Abbott on Saturday statedthe electronic ballot company must answer about the function it played in Carlson’s firing prior to it could be permitted to do company within the Lone Star State.

Abbot statedif the reports are precise, he is “delighted” the business does not run in Texas.

“If the public reporting is accurate that Dominion Voting Systems demanded that Tucker Carlson be fired as part of a lawsuits settlement, then I enjoy that Dominion does not operate in Texas, and I do not think that they must do so in the future,” Abbott said. “We may disagree with others’ positions, but we should never ever try to incorrectly silence views contrary to our own.”

“If Rule wishes to work with Texas in the future, they should initially respond to questions about what function, if any, they played in silencing a popular conservative reporter,” Abbott added. “The answers to those questions, and other factors, ought to assist whether we desire them to run here.”

However, Stephen Shackelford, an outside lawyer for Rule, informedAxios previously in the week that the company “did not insist on [Fox News] shooting Tucker Carlson as part of the settlement.”

A Fox News representative likewise saidreports about Dominion’s function in Carlson’s shooting are “categorically incorrect.”
