CSIS Concerns Call

By Patrick ARMSTRONG

About 1000 Tuesday morning (14 December 2021) a ring on the doorbell. A guy with ID from CSISinformed my spouse he wanted to talk to me. When I went outside he said he had some questions about Strategic Culture Structure. Many of my fellow factors in the U.S.A. have been hassled by the– as they used to call them in the USSR– Organs; then the US government enforced heavy penalities if they continue to compose for itbecause it chose it was a Russian intelligence front (without any evidence– however who requires that these days?) So I was rather testy. No flexibility of speech any more? No, no, he said, absolutely nothing like that, simply want to ask a couple of questions.

The questions were these:

  1. Has SCF ever suggested I compose something in a certain way? I informed him they had three times asked me to compose on a subject– “Real Crickets, Phony News” and “The Abyss of Disinformation Gazes Into Its Creators“– however the third time I stated I wasn’t interested. In the 2 cases I had actually composed what I wished to and they had changed nothing.
  2. Had they ever altered or re-written anything I ‘d provided? No I said. Not even fixed typos. And, I stated the minute they do, I will stop writing for them– I am an independent operator. He understood I ‘d stop an outlet before that so I guess he reads this.

When I was working I was a member of an interdepartmental intelligence committee on Russia for about 10 years. This offered me acquaintance with the various Canadian intelligence organisations that dealt with Russia. I was profoundly unimpressed by CSIS. Did they, I asked him, still do “scanning”? Not knowledgeable about that he stated– well, I replied, some exceptionally dull CSIS guy used to bore us silly with the CSIS scanning program without ever informing us precisely what it was. We eventually decided that it needs to have been a newspaper clipping service. He hadn’t become aware of the person who was fired for fabricating his credentials whom CSIS then hired. Another CSIS man was just so tremblingly thrilled about the CSIS building (a quite classy one– most of us remained in workplace plankton cubes)– he, as I recall, had little to contribute to our discussions other than an understanding sneer. Not an outstanding organisation at all and to think, I said, that it was losing its time on me. Definitely they had much better things to do. Like the Canadian possibilities of this, maybe!.

?.!? He naturally thought that there was such a thing as Russian disinformation– should have challenged him to give a couple of examples. Although I did ask him if he thought the Steele File, speaking of what United States intelligence had actually passed off as true. Mumble mumble he answered (I believe he realised that wasn’t precisely a great starting horse anymore.).

Simply a casual, personal conversation, no difficult sensations, said he. No intimidation. Did I have any concept who ran Strategic Culture Foundation? I did not but didn’t believe it was the Russian federal government– not smart enough, I informed him: they still think RT is all they require to do. Some of the authors I ‘d spoken with had speculated that it might be funded by some Russian plutocrat (this person!.?.!?)who was sick and sick of all the dangerous BS drained about Russia. Crap that remained in risk of getting us into a war. But, as I stated here(and he showed that he had read it)

Strategic Culture Foundation hasn’t developed something that didn’t exist in the past, it’s gathered something that currently existed. What do we authors have in common? Well, Dear Reader, take a look around you. Definitely we question The Reality. Or possibly SCF is a location where people “baffled by the hysterical Russophobia of the MSM and the Democratic Party given that the 2016 election” can discover something else? Or maybe it’s part of Madison’s “basic intercourse of sentiments“?

I said the Americans were dumb sufficient to think Strategic Culture Foundation was moneyed by the GRU which, I emphasised, was and always had been a 100% military intelligence organisation. He believed they ‘d said SVR (the Russian foreign intelligence organisation). (I checked– he was right, they do say SVR– it was the GRU they claimed had lagged the Steele File or the whatever-it-was in St Petersburg during Russiagate. I’ve forgotten the details– Trumputin was such a Gish gallop of rubbish that it’s difficult to bear in mind what was taken as absolutely real one day and forgotten the next).

I repeated numerous times that I wrote what I seemed like, when I felt like it, and so far they have actually published whatever I’ve sent them. They can decline something, however the minute they change what I’ve written, I quit.

So when I ‘d vented enough, he disappeared stating I might call whenever I wanted– we’re in the book– and wanting me a good day.

SO, FELLOW CANADIANS WHO ATTEMPT TO WRITE FOR STRATEGIC CULTURE STRUCTURE OR COMPARABLE CRIMETHINK PUBLICATIONS, THE DAY IS COMING WHEN YOU’LL GET A CHECK OUT FROM OUR GUARDIANS FROM MINITRU TOO. AND, EVENTUALLY, OUR INDEPENDENT CANADA WILL INDEPENDENTLY DO WHAT IT’S TOLD TO AND IMPOSE HEAVY PENALTIES ON United States FOR CRIMETHINK.

* * *

Who does run Strategic Culture Structure? They pay the writers so someone is putting cash into it. I do not understand. I asked when and was told “a foundation”; which didn’t inform me much. I doubt it’s the Russian government– I can’t see it thinking that it’s cost-effective to spend for another various viewpoint site. And, as I informed him, it appears to believe RT deserves the financial investment. (When it comes to me, I can’t determine what the point of RT is.) I bet on the plutocrat theory. Here’s some of the typical speculation— someone who’s associated with someone who understands somebody. Whatever: they’re all Russians so they’re all connected somehow. If you inspect, you’ll find that most of its stable of authors have actually been composing exactly the very same things for years in other places. As I said above– SCF has actually just collected them, it hasn’t produced them. It releases a quite vast array– some things I check out, other things I don’t trouble to; like every other site, it differs in quality. I don’t much care who lags it: I compose what I have actually constantly composed and they (and other outlets) publish it. They alter something or determine something, or if I think the quality is slipping, I’ll take my company elsewhere; I have actually done it prior to.

As soon as once again I observe that in the Cold War, they spent a lot of cash and effort trying to stop their population from getting alternate viewpoints. Today we do. Pretty simple reduction about which side is positive that reality and truth supports it, isn’t it?

Why do we do it in a Russian outlet and not in a house outlet? Why do not the NYT or Globe and Mail snap us up? We write lots and we’re less expensive than their typical scribes. Oh, I know, Russian disinformation. We didn’t puff the Steele Dossier; we wonder why novichok on the doorknob suggests that the roofing system needs to be replaced; we do not understand how Russia keeps getting into Ukraine however can never ever get past Donetsk Airport; we ask why, if Moscow truly wished to interfere in the United States election it fired a weak weapon far too late to make any distinction. Writers for those outlets swallow whatever whole. So, I think, we who compose for SCF do have a particular commonness of perspective; but that’s not because those ominous Russians make us do so, it’s due to the fact that we did prior to it and will after it goes. And, what I wrote in the federal government was similar as what I write now.

My perspective hasn’t changed ever since– and here’s how I got here. A war with Russia will not be enjoyable for anybody and that’s where the mono-view of the Western media is taking us.

So, yeah, I am a loyal subject of Her Majesty– I don’t desire her world of Canada to be obliterated in a war we got into due to the fact that we only heard one side of the story. So I contribute my moiety to the opposite.
