Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Tuesday stated “hateful and xenophobic policies” from former President Donald Trump are to blame for President Joe Biden’s devastating mishandling of increasing waves of prohibited border crossings.
“I advise President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas to right away stop these expulsions and to end this Title 42 policy at our southern border,” Schumer stated.”We can not continue these hateful and xenophobic Trump policies that neglect our refugee laws.”
“We should allow asylum seekers to provide their claims at our ports of entry and be managed due process,” Schumer added.
Title 42 refer to pre-existing law that permits surges of migrants who have actually just recently been in a country where a communicable illness was present. Over 1.1 million migrants have been stopped from going into the United States under the code because 2020.

Corporate media has been criticalof the Biden-Harris administration imposing Title 42 on an individual basis. On Monday, a reporter asked White Home press secretary Jen Psaki what the administration prepares to do about stopping the expulsions under Title 42.
