The Royal Canadian Mounted Authorities (RCMP) in Houston, British Columbia, has released footage of an attack on a gas pipeline construction website by extremists that triggered countless dollars worth of damages recently.
The video footage was launched by the RCMP in hopes that members of the public will have the ability to determine those who took part in the attack, which happened recently on Thursday, February 17, in a rural area of northern BC. The first video showed two individuals equipped with axes strolling to an automobile. A number of building and construction vehicles were heavily damaged in the attack at the Coastal Gas Link (CGL) camp near Houston.
“Video video footage acquired by investigators reveal numerous people, some equipped with axes; storm the property, attack a business automobile while a staff member was inside the truck,” the RCMP stated in a news release on Tuesday.
“The unknown people, who were similarly dressed, swung axes at the vehicle; spray painted the window and sparked what is thought to be a flare gun. Fortunately, the CGL staff members were not physically damaged,” authorities added.
The 2nd video shows suspects running up to a pick-up truck and attacking it with a hammer before the truck drives away, while the third video shows enemies swinging axes, spray painting, shooting flare weapons and flashing a strobe light. All of the opponents use really similar clothing in the videos.
Cops state that around 20 people participated in the attack, which saw security guards assaulted, in addition to a member of the RCMP who was injured after the attackers tossed smoke bombs and lit fire sticks at officers.
“Upon police attendance at the 41 km mark, the street had been blocked with downed trees, tar covered stumps, wire, boards with spikes in them, and fires had actually been lit throughout the debris. As police worked their way through the debris and traps, numerous people tossed smoke bombs and fire lit sticks at the authorities, injuring one officer,” the RCMP specified recently.
“This is a very uncomfortable escalation in violent criminal activity that could have resulted in serious injury or death. This was a determined and arranged violent attack that left its victims shaken and a multimillion-dollar path of destruction,” RCMP Chief Superintendent Warren Brown, North District Leader stated.
The attack was later on condemned by leftist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who specified, “This violence is inappropriate, and this intimidation is untenable. I strongly condemn this behaviour– in Canada, this is not how we reveal our differences or advance our causes.”

Some criticised Trudeau, who invoked the Emergencies Act last week to clear the serene Liberty Convoy protests from Ottawa but has actually made no similar actions relating to the pipeline attacks.
