Report: Trucker Convoy Organizer Gets 2 Flat Tires in Route to D.C.

Trucker convoy organizer Bob Bolus supposedly sustained two flat tires on the first day of his journey en route to Washington, DC from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

After beginning the journey on Wednesday early morning to objectpandemic mandates, inflation, and prohibited migration, Bolus got two flat tires, postponing the convoy’s journey to the District, ABC 7 reported.

Bolus’ plan is to shut down the Capital Beltway, which includes D.C. and connects major roadways in southern Maryland and northern Virginia. The roadway serves as a significant travelling passageway and path for commercial deliveries into the District.

Bolus’s convoy is just one of 3 expected to come down upon the D.C. area in demonstration of the Democrat mandates. The “People’s Convoy” is expected to leave California, while the “American Trucker’s Liberty Convoy” will converge from Washington State.

When ABC 7 askedBolus if he is interacting with the other convoys, he stated they were.

“We have had discussion,” he responded. “We’ve had conference calls and we’re all on the very same page. We’re all for one thing: flexibility and rights. It’s America.”

It is unidentified the length of time the demonstration will last in D.C., but with the District’s old facilities and pothole-laden roads, just one obstruction can bring parts of the D.C. area to a standstill.

Washington, D.C. Authorities Chief Robert Contee stated last week the demonstration could trigger significant delays and mentioned January’s snowstorm as an example of how terribly traffic may be jammed.

“I suggest, you consider the impact of this, on I-95 a number of weeks back, a snowstorm with 2 or three tractor-trailers produced a terrible circumstance there,” Contee said. “So we’re going to strategy as best we can, work with our partners, both regional and federal, to do whatever we can to mitigate it.”
