Washington is consumed with the government shutdown and Trump’s threat to declare a national emergency in order to have the military build the wall.
This might actually be what the Democrats want; they avoid voting for the wall and the government could be reopened.

He doesn’t need to declare a “national emergency” The Constitution already demands that he do whatever necessary to protect us from invasion. He must stand his ground and order the military and Army Corp of Engineers to get to work on the border!

Trump should develop a real, practical construction plan that takes into account the varying terrain and the Rio Grande river, including good faith total cost estimates.
Then he should give it to the Dems with 2 days to approve it, and, if not, go on nationwide TV and very calmly and –with no BS or histrionics– present the plan, with drawings and graphs that a fourth grader can grasp, to show the public what is to be done and data supporting the why of it Then, after 2 more days, he should order the use the military to build the wall starting immediately.
Good thinking; an open presentation of the facts, ample time and opportunity for rebuttal; and then movement toward a solution!

I think he’s going to have to declare the emergency and build the wall; not that that’s an easy route either. But the Dems are now in a position where they can hold out and let Americans be hurt, blaming it on Trump as they have been. It’s plain they are the culprits unwilling to negotiate, but half the nation will not see that; and the wall is simply essential! The hordes coming, encouraged by Dems and the UN, are going to crush our economy if allowed to enter the US at all; they will vanish into the population and begin stealing services immediately that we simply can’t support having done. We must have a defensible border and a wall is a strong part of that.

One thing about it there is another caravan forming and getting ready to come north, so we should have the wall in place and have snipers ready to pick off the main leaders of the caravan if they should expose themselves, but they are cowards and only use useful idiots to do their dirty work.

Lots of money is been made by the cartels that deal with drugs, illegals trafficking and human trafficking. I am starting to suspect that the reason why the Nancy Pelosi and her group of democrat mafiosos want to have open borders; is because they are getting a chunk of the pie from the cartels.

Trump must build the WALL and open th government. Making people suffer when the democrats will never give him a political win, doesn’ t help his political future, and if the democrats get the presidency in 2020, the country I was raised in during the 1930’s, and ithe Korean conflict in the 50’s that I served will be gone. I often wonder what the every day democrats believe,or is this trend just that of the leaders. which are more and more socialistic
